a monthApple doesn’t always change much on its phones from one generation to the next, but the iPhone 16 Pro is significantly different to the iPhone 15 Pro.
For a start, it’s bigger, with a 6.3-inch screen in place of its predecessor’s 6.1-inch display. That’s still on the small side for flagship phones, so this won’t be too tricky to use with one hand, but the extra space will make videos, apps, and sites look even better than before.
The iPhone 16 Pro also has two new cameras, as its predecessor’s 12MP ultra-wide snapper has been replaced by a new high-spec 48MP one, and the iPhone 15 Pro’s 3x telephoto shooter has been replaced by a 5x optical zoom. So you can now take photos from further away, and in higher quality.
Plus, you get a new button this year, with the iPhone 16 Pro gaining a Camera Control button that lets you launch the camera, take photos and videos, and even zoom and adjust camera settings, all without ever having to tap the screen.
That button coupled with the new cameras – which join the still-excellent 48MP primary snapper – make this a superb choice for anyone who likes taking photos.
But the iPhone 16 Pro should also be a strong choice for fans of AI, as its incredibly powerful A18 Pro chipset is capable not just of running AAA console games, it’s also designed with AI in mind.
And the iPhone 16 Pro has extensive battery life, lasting for up to 27 hours of video playback, plus it has loads of storage, water resistance, and a high-end design.
