The iPhone 16 Plus is Apple’s biggest non-Pro iPhone, with a large 6.7-inch OLED screen that provides plenty of space to display apps, videos, and games in all their glory.

New this year is a Camera Control button, but calling it a button undersells it, as it does different things with a light press, a hard press, a double tap, or a swipe. In all, it lets you fully control the camera with a hardware key.

There’s also an Action button, which you can customise to toggle the flashlight, launch your favourite app, identify a song, or just about anything else you might want it to do.

And the iPhone 16 Plus has a powerful new A18 chipset, giving it a boost in performance over the iPhone 15 Plus, and ensuring it’s ready for the Apple Intelligence suite of AI features.

Apple has also boosted the battery life of the iPhone 16 Plus, so here the phone can keep going for up to 27 hours of video playback, and wireless charging is faster too this year, at 25W.

The iPhone 16 Plus also has a highly capable dual-lens camera, headlined by a 48MP main sensor, and it runs iOS 18, so you’ve got all the latest Apple software features.

It’s a stylish phone too, clad in aerospace-grade aluminium, and it’s designed to last, thanks to both water resistance and the latest generation of Ceramic Shield, which Apple claims is 2x tougher than any smartphone glass.

Plus, there’s 5G, Face ID, a Dynamic Island, stereo speakers, and a choice of colourful shades that you can get the iPhone 16 Plus in.
